Arctic design Greenland low temperature -40 C Imo T4 Filter pump system with dual pumps for fuel oil, flow measurement and volume discharge to day tank.

For a project in Greenland, Copenhagen Pump was contacted for a pumping solution. Diesel/Gas oil was to be retrieved from large external storage tanks and pumped in metered capacities to day tanks. The challenge is that winter temperatures can go very low and we had to consider arctic design criteria despite indoor installation.
We chose a solution based on Imo's T4 unit, which consists of a filter unit with dual fuel filters, dual pumps, changeover valves for cleaning the filter inserts and an instrument package.
In addition, we supplied a flow meter from LUTZ with volume preselection. The system works by entering a preselection on a display on the flow meter. A relay module then starts and stops the pump and closes the valves.
