The GEV vane pump is strong in low pressure and low capacity, while the GEV side channel impeller blower is used for relatively high flow and moderate vacuum i.e. from 600 mbar absolute.

The Pedro Gil capsule blower is a lobe profile compressor/pump. The necessary tolerances in the machine do not allow more than a differential pressure of 1,8 bar 1800 mbar. In practice this means that an overpressure of about 0.8 bar and an absolute underpressure of about 0.2 bar/200 mbar can be created.

The purpose of using GEV vacuum pumps in connection with vacuum technology for industrial use is typically for conveying dry substances such as sand, powder and other granulates, for vacuum evaporation of foodstuffs and for vacuum packaging.
Gas types: most often ordinary air is transported with GEV vacuum pumps, but also water vapour in connection with evaporation plants or biogas in connection with biogas production.
Alcohol reduced beer, fresh water generators, evaporation plants for food, bio-tech and phama industry, vacuum transport of solids like sand, powder and granules, biogas production.
For certain tasks an objective Atex requirement is placed on the vacuum pump, such requirements for vacuum pumps are seen for example in biogas production. GEV vacuum vane pumps and side channel impeller pumps are therefore offered as standard in Atex execution.
Durability: the machines are normally made to work around the clock. I.e. 8,000 hours of operation/year with resulting programmed maintenance.
