GREEN PUMPS formerly Caster pumps produces magnetically coupled pumps in stainless steel and plastic. The magnetically coupled pump is shaft sealless and therefore emission-free. The pumps meet the requirements of the 1990 EPA Clean air directive. The magnetically coupled pump solution is a cost-effective way to get around complicated shaft sealing solutions, typically in connection with hazardous liquids.

Green Pump GPM is an injection molded centrifugal pump in PVC or PP (polypropylene). To increase strength, glass fibers are added to the molding material. The pump is available in stainless steel under the name GPMA

Applications: Hazardous liquids such as acids, alkalis, alcohols, gasoline, fire and explosive liquids. Like all magnetic drive pumps, the pumped liquid circulates around the inner magnet. Magnetically coupled pumps cannot tolerate dry running or operation against a shut-off valve or pumping without a defined back pressure. We have relay solutions based on cos phi and overcurrent that can monitor magnetically coupled pumps and disconnect and/or alarm in case of faulty operation.
