In 2016, Copenhagen Pump was contacted by an English offshore shipping company that specializes in special vessels. The ship's original pump design could not provide the necessary pressure to the ship's external sprinkler system. We therefore designed and delivered a modulated operating system based on a 2,000 l pressure tank, a DAP pressure pump system and a 20 bar constant pressure software, a Captor flowswitch and a manifold for the instrument package. The modular system was delivered to the ship, which could mount the modules itself.
Service:
When a tire valve is opened, the large pressure vessel immediately delivers flow after which a constant pressure programming starts the pump and regulates it modulating according to the need. At total shut-off, the large 2 m3 accumulator prevents pressure shocks from occurring. The system is automatically shut down by the flow switch, which ensures that the container is always completely filled.
Maintenance:
Replacement of shaft seals evry second year and filling of air in pressure tank rubber diaphragm.
